Interpret the dots
My theme for this project was translation. Along with another person I went to specific locations. I took images with me. That person and myself had to react to the place in which we were but also to the image that we had underneath. We had to make lines through the process.
I ended up screen printing the lines, the background and the dots. Colours used: dominant colour of the place, how the place made the person and myself feel colour wise.
Duthie Park Drypoints
The starting point for this project were some images derived from research drawing undertaken in a glasshouse in Aberdeen, Scotland. I decided that instead of describing the object in a figurative way I wanted to describe its lines and the movements that I did while drawing them.
